Riders in the Dirt

Comprised of four Forest Service professionals, Riders in the Dirt is an environmentally knowledgeable band from Oregon that was started informally around a campfire. This all-female music group includes Judy Haigler, a program analyst for Regional Air Group; Gayle Hunt, a purchasing agent for the Ochoco National Forest; Anne Alford, a wildlife biologist for the Ochoco National Forest; and Jo Booser, a professional musician and a retired silviculturist for the Ochoco and Deschutes National Forest. With a wide variety of expertise and knowledge, Riders in the Dirt provides an informed outlook on conservation education through the group’s music.
