Lee Hays Collection

An important figure in the folksong revival of the 1940s-1960s, Lee Hays (1914-1981) was one of the members of the Almanac Singers, People's Songs, and the Weavers. The Rinzler Archives acquired Hays' personal papers which include his correspondence, writings, and audiotapes. The tapes include a lengthy interview with singer Cisco Houston.
