—To show their support of the arts in Appalachia, the National Endowment for the Arts is sponsoring a series of concerts at the Folklife Festival highlighting National Heritage Fellows from the Southern Appalachian region. Currently, five fellowship winners are participating in various Festival presentations; they will appear in the concerts as well, and be joined by additional fellowship recipients and other talented performers from the Appalachia program.
