The Occasionals
—Leading Edinburgh ceilidh group headed by accordionist virtuoso Freeland Barbour with banjo/mandolinist Kevin MacLeod, fiddler Ian Hardie, drummer Gus Millar, and dancers Sheila McCutcheon and Grant Sinclair. Active since 1986, The Occasionals frequently play large festivals and are excellent instructors of Scottish ceilidh dance. Maria Leask (Lerwick/Shetland)
—Instructor for Shetland Folk Dance. A dedicated dancer and dance historian who has been active in teaching and documenting Shetlandic dance traditions for the Shetland Arts Trust she will introduce and call Shetland-style dances for American audiences.
 
Deryck and Gareth Mitchelson (Angus)
—Renowned exponents of Scottish dance, the Michelson Brothers specialize in Highland and step dance and are in great demand throughout the world as performers and teachers of traditional Scottish dance.
